Roundham Lodge Guest House is the only 5 Star establishment in Paignton. We also have a Silver Award by Visit Britain.

The Guest House is situated in Roundham, a select and quiet area of Paignton. Only 300Metres walk to the harbour and 5 minutes walk from the esplanade into Paignton town. The lounge is comfortably furnished and with a display of original oil paintings which are a feature throughout the lodge in all rooms. See gallery.

The Lodge, built in 1901 for a doctor and his family with all the majesty of that era is a pleasure to live in with its high ceilings and cornices, arched brick hallways and several arched windows with coloured leaded glass.

Since the 1920s the residence has been a hotel and more recently updated, renovated and tastefully redecorated as a quality yet modestly priced guest house. The Lodge is furnished to a high and comfortable standard without being pretentious.

A mature development is the pond and waterfall, which is quite impressive when illuminated in the evening and very peaceful during the day. Why not sit and relax to the sound of the running waters or watch our visiting family of ducks. A blessing for those wishing to meditate or simply relax and read. The lodge has a wonderful calming atmosphere. Many guests remark about this and several of our regular friends refer to the lodge as their ‘second home’.
